Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead and oversee all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations while ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the hotel's facilities and infrastructure. The role includes directing the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire and life safety, and building systems, developing and managing the Engineering department budget, leading preventive maintenance programs, overseeing renovation and capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and leading the engineering team to maintain the highest standards of operational excellence and guest comfort.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior hotel engineering leadership role, preferably as a Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer. Previous experience managing hotel renovation or refurbishment projects is highly desirable. Strong technical knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and engineering operations is essential. The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership, managerial, budgeting, and project management skills, with the ability to lead high-performing teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively in English.
